Recently Norton has begun sticking an exclamation point on the icon in my systray. When I open the software, all it does is want to fake optimization by clearing the internet cache. That's useless and annoying, so I wanted to turn it off. However, I can't find that in settings and help was not a help.
1) How do I turn off that optimization check and alert?
When I first tried to get help, the software also tried to start some repair check when all I wanted to do is find the forums. Worse, some install of the check failed, no information on what was being installed or why it failed was provided. The only help link was about an install of NIS and told me to uninstall. NIS basics are working, all that failed is some check I didn't want it to do.
2) How do I set an option for help to go right to forums rather than doing a system check?
