Removing pic's from image gallery vs.. post pic's

Howdy,

 

Quick question.  Know that it is possible to upload a picture/screen shot to the Norton forum and it shows in both the post and the image gallery, would removing the picture from the image gallery leave the picture in the post in tact since the forum is now hosting the pic?

 

Been wondering and hopefully did not miss this info. somewhere :)

Ah, I'm glad I asked before deleting. I take it the area of the former pic would simply show as a triangle or something such.
