Did you uninstall the older version? Or let the new software do it? Your activation code should be 25 characters and you'll be directed to set up a Norton account (if you haven't already). Having the software saying you have 14 days left sounds like that is the remaining time on your old software not your new..

First off, what version of the program did you have before the upgrade, 2007, 2008?

If you download and install an upgrade from the confirmation email it should automatically insert the key for you, no need to type it in. Although, in some cases it happens that the new installation uses the old key. If this is the case, activate the product by clicking on Help & Support up on the right and then on Activation. Type in your product key.

If this does not work you might have to check so that the installation actually completed and that you have the 2008 version installed. If it still is your old version it might be that you are trying to insert the key as a renewal key (19 char).

I have had the same situation with Norton Internet Security and used that way of "activating" a new version

and it worked for me.

Try it !!
