My situation is this: I have a HP desktop that came with an oem copy of NIS (I don't recall the trial period or the version but I got it in '09). That OEM copy expired and I bought a 3pc license which is due to expire in another 18 days. My current version is 16.8.0.41.
Just last week, I bought a copy of NIS 2010 1pc version (for education use) since it is cheaper and the guy told me that I could wait till my current version expire and then uninstall it completely before installing the 'for edu purpose' version since they are different? Do I have to do that or can I just enter the product key into the software I am currently using?
And to add to the situation, my bank offered me an oem version of NIS 2010 with 60 days free and a 40% discount if I renew that. Is it possible if I wait till my current NIS expire, uninstall it, install the bank's oem version to get 60days and maybe renew it if the prices are okay (ie. cheaper than my edu copy) and perhaps a year later install my education copy? Or is it not okay to install another oem when I have already used one before?
I am not really good at such technical stuff. Appreciate any help. Thanks.
