Renewal Emails Scam

I have received many emails all supposed to be from Norton advising me that my subscription is expiring and offering me incentives to renew. The emails seem very authenticate. They are all very similar. Here is an example:

This is to inform you that Annual Subscription of your Norton protection software will be expiring soon. At the expiration your computer might be vulnerable to harmful online threats and malicious trojans unless you renew your Norton subscription.

We are pleased to let you know that you have been nominated for Norton Renewal Offer. Hence you are requested to renew your annual subscription with this offer.

With this limited offer you are eligible to get 6 months of extra subscription with 2-Year Norton Renewal or 2 months of extra subscription with 1-Year Norton Renewal. To renew or extend your Norton Subscription with this offer, please click the link below.

Renew My Norton

With Regards,                                                                                                            Norton Promotional Team

I renewed my subscription through the Norton Control Panel rather than click on the above as it seemed more convenient. However I was expecting the bonus and so when I didn't get it I tried to advise Norton through the Customer Support Chat line. All I got from there was confirmation that this is a scam but I did not get any sign that Notorn are concerned about this scam and no promise to investigate. So I am posting this to see if I can get any reaction from Norton other than being directed to their very limited Feedback site.
