I renewed my subscription from the regular Norton 360 to 360 5.0 Premier. When I enter the renewal code it says that it is invalid. Can I get some steps to follow to get my Norton renewed. My 360 has expired and I am currently at risk. Thanks
If I uninstall the old then how do I install the Premier if I have a renewal code? How do I know if it is from the UK?
Don't worry about the UK thing unless you're in the UK or this triggers an "aha" moment for you. I've just seen folks who as soon as that's mentioned have led us down that path.
Sorry I wasn't more thorough in my original reply. I should have urged you to be sure that you've set up and can access your Norton Account, and checked to see that your new license/subscription is registered there (It will, by the look of it, read Norton 360 Premier, and have a date about a year in the future). As long as all that is the case, once you've run the Removal Tool, you will be able to install your new product from your Norton Account.
Does that make more sense? My brain must already be on holiday! LOL
Yes! Just to clarify. I do have the Renewal in my account. So...
1. Remove the old Norton
2. Go to my account and it will let me download the Premier? When I go to my account I only see the purchase information. It gives me the option to view my order. Where would I find the download?
OK, it sounds as though you are looking at the Order History tab; if you click on the Products tab, you should see a list of your licensed Norton products, with all current licenses listed in black. Each current license should have a big yellow "Download" button off to the right; you'll just click the one for Premier when you're ready to do the clean install.
And yes, before you do that, you should download and run the Norton Removal Tool, which will make sure that all the pieces of your old product get uninstalled, and the debris cleaned up properly. Do not just uninstall from Windows!
Just to clarify. Back up all of your cards and logins to the desktop.
Remove the old product via add/remove first.
Run the Norton removal tool and reboot.
Download the new product from here and insert key.
Oh! You know what I did? I renewed it under a new email address. The old email address has it under Product but it says to RENEW and the download button is gray. Yikes! How should I resolve?
Just fix it up as per the steps above. The activation key will attach it to the account where the purchase is recorded. You might want to let Customer service know that one account will now be inactive and make sure that any automatic billing is removed. Scroll down for CHAT

I followed the steps but it put me in a 30 day trail. When I click on activate it asked me for a product code. I do not have a product code, I have a renewal code. But the Renewal option is grayed out. How can I renew?
It sounds like the easiest may be to go back to the folks at Live Chat and explain what happened. I know they can credit you with what you have.
You might also try putting the code you have into the space you have, if you haven't done so already, just in case....
I tried and it did not work. Can you give me the chat link. Thanks
There you go. Let us know how it works out!
