I just attempted to renew my NIS for a further 3 years (given the nice discount at the moment) and I've got 10 days left on my current subscription . However after the sale went through It seems that rather than renewing my existing product, the system told me I had bought a new version (which I did not want, and did not buy) and now in order to use it I had to activate download and install, all of which isn't what I bought.
I contacted the live chat and eventually worked out there was nothing they could do to actually fix the issue so I asked for, and was apparently given a refund (I'll find out in 5-7 working days I imagine), however my subscription is still running out in 10 days and I want to renew it, but I don't want to go through this again, any ideas or help? Is there someone other than the live chat I can talk to if this goes pear shaped again? Since all they seem to do is want to access my PC remotely (and no, I'm not comfortable with that) and just install something I don't want no matter how many times I mention that that is the issue. I'm not in the US so phone is out.
This is the second renewal I've done, the first (for only a year, last year) went through without a hitch.
