Renewal question

N360 renewal is $79.99.  A new subscription is currently $40.00.  What do I get for twice the price?

Absolutely .... usually far and away cheapest to buy a new product from a reputable source and just use the KEY but wait to enter it until your subscription is just about to run out -- a couple of days before the end in case anything goes wrong and you are left unprotected -- since a new KEY replaces the unexpired days and does not add to them like a renewal on line.

You don't have to reinstall if you buy exactly the same version -- in the case of NIS Standard unless you are using the Netbook version.

I recommend the weekend flyers in the USA with the rebates. I see $20 at one store but that's probably a 1 PC version since I know that store stocks 1, 3 and 5 PC versions on the shelf. New flyers on Sunday?

awesome thanks for the help! Just out of curioisty does the 3 user version allow 3 installs on the same pc or just three different pc's. They cant be installed on the same machine twice is what im presuming.

Welcome

A three user license allows the program to be installed on three different computers. If it becomes necessary to reinstall the program on a computer that already has the program, uninstall it. This should allow the reinstall without using up a license. If there's a problem during the process do visit with the fine folks at the customer service chat feature. All reports iindicate that they know what's happening and do their best to fix things quickly and correctly.

Hope this helps

No, you can't daisy chain to get 3 years and the clock starts running with the first activation so even on 3 different computers spread out over a few months they all expire on the anniversary of the first activation ....

And just picking up on your "on the same computer" -- if it crashes or you have to reinstall again you may get an "exceeded" message but the Norton OnLine Customer Support by CHAT will reset the central database quickly and painlessly when you tell them what happened. If by any chance you get rid of a working computer then you should uninstall or the new user will be using your activation and may have access to your MyNortonAccount.

Also picking up on your "on the same computer" question:  If you are running multiple/partitioned systems on your computer (for example XP and Win 7), then you will probably have to install Norton for each partition and each will use up one user.

On the other hand, if multiple users are using the same computer under different user names, each will get the protection of your single installation.
