Do I understand correctly ? I purchased a multi license version of a Norton Product to replace my expiring Anti-Virus Programs. When I go to Renew, I am prompted to BUY. I have existing licenses, not yet installed, from my recent purchase.
If I download and install one of these remainig licenses:
(1) Will it cause the expiration date to APPEND to the existing expiration date or
(2) Will my current license be SHORTENED by the new license Key?
(3) Will all of my remaining installations be SHORTENED by the new license Key?
Say I purchased my multi-license product on 12/01/2011 for installation on a new machine ... Should expire 12/1/2013.
The current expiration date on machine 2 is 2/20/2012 ... The expiration date on machine 3 is later still.
If I install using my new product license on machine 2 (2/01/2012 install date )- will the expiration date be 3/11/2013 {One Year Plus unused license days} (APPENDED), or 2/10/2013 {One year from date of installation of machine 2} (EXTENDED), or 2/01/2012} (TRUNCATED), worse yet 12/20/2013 {The date on which the first installment of a new multi-license purchase was installed}?
I feel like a victim of a shell game, the pea keeps moving from where it is initially shown.
I thought I Purchased a total of 366 X 3 (leap year) days of protection for 3 machines this year.
If they expire on appropriate 366 day anniversaries of their installation I am Shorted only 20 days of paid-up license (machine 2).
If on FIRST INSTALLATION date-- (366-80 protection days) on machine 2 and even less protection when I install machine 3.
When I RENEW a magazine subscription, I don't expect to be shorted issues from my previous purchase just because i renewed early!
Tell me it isn't true!
