My account history says the subscription is paid up until 5/18/2017, yet I keep getting these messages that I need to renew.
Remote access is not the same as being right in front of your pc cn2016. If you can log into each pc when you are home and there is no issues then it is merely a mynorton web error. I still do not see the point in you needing to "spy" on each pn in your home. You can the same if not more with Norton Family, Microsoft family or other apps. As long as a pc is "online" Live update will run on it's own.
@ Chris Clark........Is your pc time and day correct? How many days were left in your subscription? Did you try entering your license key again and running Live update several times?
It's probably because of this new horrible website update they did. As you can see in my forum post, I've had the same issue where a big red you need to renew comes up and I'm good another year and also cannot access remote management features anymore such as see when computers are on and offline. If they don't fix this, I myself, will probably finding a better antivirus system at this point. I am totally disgusted as you are and cant seem to find a fix to the big red you need to renew when I have. The technician told me ignore it. Really?
It looks like this is still a problem, and norton chat was useless in my case as well. The notifications are not email, they are notifications directly from within the Norton app, telling me to register. I have received this notification daily since my latest upgrade, and had registered daily as well. Even so, the next day the notification appears anew. I had attempted to remove and re-install three different times, starting with the menu options and ending with a third party system cleaner. Nothing worked, and I continued to received the same notification, please register. The only time I did not was the 48 hours that I remained completely off-line, as I was not able to re-download the installer package during that window. I opted to stay dark during that time. When I finally did get a chat going, the script the chat tender was working from, wanted me to do the same steps I had already tried before. I tried to explain they did not work, but since it went off script, they ignored me. Out of frustration, I terminated the chat, and have decided to find a new anti-virus and internet security product. To bad, I used to like Norton, and even recommended it to people. Never again.
It appears the only way to remove the product, is to be sure and never install it in the first place, but do some research and try something else.
Hello Peter
Please make sure that they are legitimate emails. There are a lot of scam emails or phishing emails going around saying your antivirus subscription has ended and you need to renew.
Thanks.
Hi, Peter. Try contacting Norton Chat. They can help with these issues. http://norton.com/chat
