Renewed Nortonsub but android phone says vpn sub due to expire

I renewed my multi device sub in December (includes VPN) but my partners phone says VPN sub is about to expire. Is there something I should be doing?

Did your partner install both Norton 360 and the standalone Norton Secure VPN apps? If the standalone app was installed it sounds like there was a subscription started for that app. You need to find that subscription in your Norton Account, or your partner's if they have a Norton Account. If found, be sure to turn off the automatic renewal for that subscription and just let it expire. 

Also if you have both apps installed, you should uninstall the standalone app and just use the VPN feature. Having both can cause strange behaviour on your device.
