Hi
I am running xp pro sp 3, IE 7 and System Works 12 standard. My son did a repair install of windows xp pro with sp 3 like I had previously. Now I have noticed in the recent history part of the Antivirus part, entries for such things as IE that are being blocked and saying that they are duplictes. Since the install was a repair one using the OEM cd that I got with my computer and having done all the windows updates, I don't know if the things like IE 7 are exactly the same as they were before. I am hoping that this reinstall fixed any errors I might have had in Windows. Perhaps the new one has been corrected if there were any problems with it. Other programs are also coming up as being blocked cause they are doubled. With a repair install, it isn't really necessary to reinstall most programs. Norton's does seem to be working other wise, but I am hoping that it won't block the programs or it won't accept the corrections that might have occured with the repair install. I hope you can follow what I am trying to say here. Will this blocking of the programs stop once all the new stuff is finished being analyzed? I hope my son won't have to reinstall system works again. I'm just concerned that I am seeing entries in that log saying that it is blocking some things like IE and other programs or parts of programs. I can see why it may be blocking them thinking that it was malware that had changed them. I believe though any changes that may have occurred are the results of the repair install. I hope you can reassure me that all is ok. Thank you
