This issue is similar to a previous one that I posted here:
https://community.norton.com/en/forums/repeat-introducing-privacy-monitor-mobile-notifications-how-turn-wo-turning-all
I never received an actual "solution" to the previous issue, but after finally just tapping the notification and browsing around the part of the Norton app that it took me to, the notifications seemed to stop. Unfortunately, that does not appear to work for this new notification problem.
I am now constantly getting notifications on my phone from the Norton app titled "Improve your privacy and security". I have tried tapping the notification, which takes me to the App Security page of the Norton App. The pages reads "No issues found" at the top with a green background.
There is a section titled "Data harvesting apps" right below that lists nearly all of the apps of my phone. That is way too many apps for me to try and micro-manage or exclude from future scanning.
I have tried turning off various Notification Categories to make these stop, but it seems they only go away if I turn off ALL notifications from Norton, including "Critical Security Alerts" and such.
Is there any way to turn of these repeating notifications without turning off the notifications I actually want from this app?
@Monolith
Thanks for letting us know the notifications have stopped. I never did get one, even after turning on the System App Scan option. It did add to the apps in the Data harvesting list. But I still only had about a dozen apps listed there. Maybe it had something to do with the number of app you had in that listing.
If they start again, let us know and I'll try to escalate the issue.
Thank you for the suggestions. However, I turned off product suggestions quite a while ago so I do not believe these notifications are related. Also, tapping on these notifications does not take me to a new product for purchase.
I also saw a previous post that mentioned turning off Scan System Apps, so I tried that early on when these notifications first started. It did not stop the notifications over the next few days, but they eventually slowed down and now appear to have stopped. Not sure if that was due to anything I did or if they simply expired in some way.
Regardless, these notifications were very persistent for a while and this is the 2nd such incident. You would think once would be enough, or that they would provide better feedback as to what they want you to do!
@Monolith
Did you check the setting for Scan System apps? If it is on, try turning it off and see if the notifications stop. I always have that setting off, but have just turned it on to see if that changes my experience. I'll monitor for a day or so and will post back.

If you are using Android devices, open 360 and tap on the three bars at the top left and tap on Settings > General. Turn off Product Suggestions setting and test to see if you still get all these offers.
Hello, this isn't a solution, just a comment from a fed up Norton 360 mobile user. Both my wife and I have Norton 360 on our phones and nowadays we seem to be getting more and more notification of potential problems that can be prevented by spending more cash with Norton to add functionality to the existing installation.
I do wish Norton would allow us to completely "unsubscribe" from these but over the last few years (of about 15 years use) they have changed their approach to become a "give us more cash" company rather than simply a good, well rounded security system.
I have no idea if other security companies are in the same game but it is a real pain. Good luck finding a solution.

Yes, I did. Multiple ones. When I first noticed these new notifications repeating, I tried going throughout that section to see if it would stop the notifications. It did not.
As of yesterday, the notifications do at least seem to be slowing down.
I'm still monitoring, and have not seen any notifications yet. I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm wondering if the reason I am not seeing the notifications is because I did tap on one of the apps in the Data harvesting apps section. I did not change anything. Did you tap into any of the apps?
Both. There are system apps that cannot be uninstalled, and apps that I installed, like my voicemail app.
I just updated my 360 to ver 5.67 so I'll monitor to see if I start getting the notifications.
When you say you have some apps that cannot be uninstalled, are they apps you absolutely need, or are they system apps getting flagged? If system apps, you can go into 360 Settings > Security > Scans and be sure to turn off Scan System Apps.
Samsung S10e, Android v12, Norton 360 Deluxe v5.67.0.230802003.
Notification frequency seems to vary. Yesterday it was popping up every few minutes if I kept removing the notification. Now it is more like once every hour or so after I remove a notification.
About 50-60 apps are showing up in the Data Harvesting section. Seems to be just about all of my apps, including some that cannot be uninstalled.
What device and OS version are you using?
My Android device is not my daily use device. But when I checked, there were no notifications waiting for the Privacy and Security that you are seeing. This is with 360 ver 5.66. What 360 version are you using? I'll monitor it for a few days to see if I do get notifications. How often are you seeing the notifications?
I do see the section under App Security for Data harvesting apps, while the green banner shows No issues found. As I noted, this is not my daily use device so I only have 9 apps listed in this section. How many are you seeing there.
