Reputation Scan failing day after day for weeks now

Hi,

Is anyone else getting daily problems with the Full Reputation Scan failing? On three separate machines here, all of them fail the reputation scan at around 40% through. This was already a problem in NIS 2011, but I waited until the release of 2012 in the hope it would be fixed. It's not. All three machines are upgraded to 2012 and all three still fail the Full Reputation Scan with the popup message: Connection Waning... Norton Insight cannot connect to the Symantec Server. The Security History claims every time that the Full Reputation Scan was canceled, but it certainly was not manually cancelled.

Last night a technician from Symantec went through a lot of settings in NIS 2012 and concluded that:

* It's not a firewall issue on my side.

* Symantec was having "temporary" problems with server load and that I should try again in 12 hours.

Well, out of courtesy I tried again after 12 hours and, of course, I get the same Connection Warning message. It seems that Symantec themselves don't really know what's going on considering the explanation I got yesterday. Over the last days, I've even reset my router many times to see if it helps but it doesn't. I am starting to run out of ideas and this problem is totally reproducible every time I try the Full Reputation Scan.

Is this a wider problem? Are lots of people out there not managing to complete the Full Reputation Scan? Has anyone had this problem and managed to resolve it?

Any ideas would be welcome because this is driving me nuts. By the way, Quick Reputation Scan completes fine every time.
