It is not a setting or a switch. It is done automatically by the VPN software.
When you first start your computer, or the NWP app, you will see your real IP for a few seconds while the app is negotiating the VPN connection. Then it should indicate the virtual IP once the connection is established.

Not until VPN is active, but in case the VPN connection gets dropped. That way you will not be unknowingly unprotected. Users here have reported this behavior in NWP, and I have seen it too.

In case your VPN connection drops, NordVPN Kill Switch will automatically block your device or terminate certain programs from accessing the Internet outside the secure VPN tunnel.

The idea is to kill your online connection anytime the VPN drops.
If you want to block internet until you activate your VPN, you need to disconnect your connection through Windows network controls, then reconnect after starting the VPN. It would take you longer to do this than it takes for the VPN to start if you have NWP set to start and connect with Windows startup.

It is not designed to disable all internet on your computer until the VPN is active. As you say, when a system is started, any internet connections will be active and not protected until the VPN is started.
I will ask this thread be moved to the Product Suggestions board.
I have also asked to see if someone from Norton can comment on each of your suggestions and whether NWP has those features.

the concept is all connection block until VPN is connected or turn-off Kill Switch.
for example when system is turn on and wi-fi is connect but VPN is try to lunch at startup data is transfer whiteout VPN,
but when we have kill switch connection is block until VPN complete lunch and connected or one-time when i put on Auto-select server and same time reload browser show my ISP ip and transfer data whiteout VPN...

The 'Above my Paygrade' comment was referring to some of the technical details you were presenting in your suggestions. I am not familiar with details of networking and VPNs. I am not a Norton employee, just a user like you who volunteers my time to try to help other users from my experience with Norton Products.

How can you test this? As I understand the concept, internet connection is turned off if there is some glitch in the VPN connection that cannot connect your computer to the VPN servers. This does not sound like something you can control to test. Just manually shutting off the VPN should not kill your internet. People disable the VPN for many reasons.
How is that different from the current situation of two separate products?

How have you determined these features do not exist in the current product? I believe #5 is already in the product. At least one user here has commented about losing internet connection and noting that the VPN was not connected. Reconnecting the VPN corrected the problem.
Remember this Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP is not designed as an end to end VPN solution, if that is what you are looking for.
