Reset N360 to original settings?

I apologize if this is addressed elsewhere. I searched a long time and couldn't find an answer.

I recently went through my N360 settings and changed several things, to get, I thought, better performance. But as soon as I saved the new settings, N360 starting burning CPU like mad. It's constantly running system scans. It used to use 3-4% of CPU capacity, but since I made those changes, it's jumped to 25-30%. It's slowed down everything on my system, especially video, even browsing.

I don't remember what changes I made so I don't know what to change back. I'd like to just reset everything in N360 to its initial default settings. But after searching extensively through the program, and the Norton support area and forums, I can't find anything that'll do that. Aside from doing a full uninstall and reinstall, is there a simple way to reset everything in N360 to their original default values?

Hi ChrisInAustin,

Welcome to Norton Community,

1) Launch Norton product
2) Click 'Settings' link
3) Click 'Antivirus' link in'Settings' UI
4) Click 'Use Defaults' link (Present in the top right hand corner of the 'Antivirus' UI)

You have to visit each section and select 'Use Defaults' link to make everything in N360 to its initial default settings

Thank you, aider_h! Your procedure did exactly what I wanted. (I feel a little dumb. I saw those section-by-section Use Defaults buttons, but didn't really see them --  I was looking for one master "Reset Everything" button.) No matter, your procedure reset everything, and my N360 has calmed down to its former behavior.

Cheers,

Chris
