Resolved Security Threat Appears Again.

I have a Packard Bell computer about 5 years old which came with a Packard Bell search bar already installed called pbukv2.dll.  I never used it and kept it switched off - I always use Google.  An Adaware SE scan picked it up as "2020 search" years ago and knowing what it was I ignored it.  On running a virus scan for the first time on my new NIS 2009 program it picked it up as "Powersearch" and automatically "fully removed" it which doesn't bother me but I notice it now sits in "Quarantine" with an option to delete or restore and exclude.  My Adaware SE program will be obsolete soon as at the end of this month there will be no more updates.  However it does scan "system volume information_restore" in Windows where all the system restore files are kept unlike NIS. I ran an Adaware scan and was pleased to see that pbukv2 was absent.  Just before I closed Adaware a little box popped up by the system tray to say that NIS had resolved a threat for me (autoprotect this time) which turned out to be the same threat it had claimed to remove so I've got it sitting twice in "Quarantine" now.  I can't help thinking using Adaware triggered something off with NIS but how I don't know.  Any idea how this was picked up again when its been "fully removed" and  is there anyway to check the file path of these threats from History or Quarantine?
