Restart-Restart-Restart ... Endless Loop

I'm seeking a remedy for an error message after LiveUpdate. Norton requires the rebooting of the computer in order to complete an update. Although I proceed as required, the message constantly reappears. 

This issue appears on various computers in our network, all though are Apple Mac, on the same OS and Norton App Version.

Appreciate your assistance - it is NOT the first time this happens. But the usual process didn't help.

 


ERROR MESSAGE:
"Updates abgeschlossen. Starten Sie den Computer neu." -- "Updates completed. Restart the computer"


TAKEN ACTIONS

  • Several Reboots ==> No improvement
  • Uninstall with the official function. 2x Reboot. Reinstall directly from the Login-Area. LiveUpdate. ==> No Improvement

Have you tried uninstalling your Norton for Mac and reinstalling your app later?

If the above common troubleshooting option does not work you, plz give RemoveSymantecMacFiles.command a go. For details, plz view this official KB.

At the point I want to scream bloody murder. No matter how many times I do the restart it KEEPS doing this to me. Any suggestions folks ?
