Restore backed up files

I am trying to restore my backed up computer files, but the restore has been receiving files for over 2 hours and still is at 0%. How do I restore my files?

Actually you don't want to cancel the restore while in process. Let it run or error out on its own. Every time you cancel a restore it has to send the request to terminate the job and then re-queue another. If you do it multiple times the longer it will take to start your next one. You're likely to get errors telling you there is a previous restore job in process as a result.

It's likely at 0% since its building the data for restore on the server side of things. The incremental technology requires it to pull parts of your data from each instance it was backed up so you get a full set of files.

This is very disturbing! I let it run all night and this morning it disappeared and nothing was downloaded. I have an internet connection of 54 Mbps and I trusted Norton to back up my file and of course I paid for it. Now I'm wasting valuable time trying to restore my backed up computer because of a crash and nothing is working. This was suppose to be a simple process. Twelve hours later I'm having to restart the download process all over again. This is ridicules!

The download is still at 0%

This is worthless!

Hello Picturelady,

Can you send your contact details to me via private message and I'll have an agent contact you. Even if it appears it aborted it still would have created log files so we can see what the problem may be. There are always reasons for why computers do things. It's just a matter of sorting them out.

I found this backup totally worthless and after I reformatted my computer and reinstalled everything from a Norton 360 backup I stored on my exteral hard drive, as double protection incase your back up couldn't be downloaded.
