Restore Identity Safe from windows.old folder

I originally installed windows 7 x32 on my computer with a 64 bit processor. My computer was running slowly so I decided to just go ahead and reinstall windows with the 64b OS.

 

I didn't create a backup or image. is there a way to retore the Identity safe from the windows.old folder?

the Identity Safe data is not stored in the Windows folder, but here: C:\ProgramData\Norton\{various_numbers}\N360-version\IdentitySafeDataStore\various numbers\ folder (on XP it is in C:\doc and set\all users\application data\Norton...) - Show hidden files option must be enabled!!
Do you have this folder from the old installation?

I just checked and that path exists in WIndows.old on my Windows 7 installed with Windows Easy Transfer from XP SP3 but I can't help on the actual IDSafe files since I was not using it.

 

E:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Application Data\Norton\00000082

 

is the sort of thing at the end of the line ....
