I backed up my music collection on another laptop using Norton 360 V2.0 (i think). That laptop died shortly thereafter. I bought a new HP Windows 7 machine and installed Norton 360 V3.52.11. I completed a small backup on the new machine and 360 created a group of numeric and alpha files as well as two additional files backup.@db and also DiscID.dat. The 95gb file from V2.0 has the same numeric and alpha files but i somehow accidentally deleted the ARestore.loc file or the backup.@db and DiscID.dat file; although the data is all still there. A Norton techie asked me to pull the ARestore.exe file from the program files and try using that manually, which I did; with no success. I have been collecting this music for decades. Any suggestions on how to recover it?
