This is really a question of curiosity more than anything. Today I noticed a fairly large variation of time it took to restore a recovery point set. I recovered the same recovery point set to two different hard drives that were identical in size (500gb) and brand (Seagate), and both were blank. The first one took 2 hours and 5 minutes. The second one took 4 hours and 43 minutes. The time for the first one was fairly typical, give or take 15 or 20 minutes, but I've never had one take anywhere near the time of the second one. Both drives booted as expected and appeared to be identical. Anybody want to venture an explanation?
