Restoring a computer after restoring a file or folder

I've been told by a colleague that with Ghost,

"if you make a backup of drive C, and then open the backup and restore a file or folder, you can no longer use that backup to restore your computer in the event of a failure - learned that the hard way. No idea why"

Is this accurate?

Hi FinianLennon

No, so long as the recovery point (.v2i file) is valid you can use it to recover your computer.

To validate the file run the "Recovery Point Browser" and validate the file.
