Hi everyone,
I need a quick hand with something.
I've run two backup jobs bi-weekly. Mainly for mission critical business files.
Now, my windows installation had a corruption in the registry which caused the server machine to restart 20-30 seconds after it booted up. As always, the system restore in windows didn't work, so I had to reinstall windows (vista), and when you reinstall windows vista it's just not a reinstall, its like a clean install. I'm sure some of you have been through that great and moving experience...It moves all the old windows files to a new folder "windows (OLD)" and creates a whole new windows folder. Making it feel, look and operate like a new fresh installation. No programs are installed, or anything. (I find vista to be relatively efficient in handling user permissions across the network and it's quite speedy for file sharing, so don't question my ways and means...lol).
So therefore, i had to reinstall Ghost v14 on the machine.
Now, my backup schedules, and all the settings are now gone. Obviously....
I'm wondering, is it possible to restore the JOB BACKUP settings into Ghost v14? From say, the external hdd's that have incremental backups of about 11 weeks in the Norton ghost native format?
Bottom line, i don't want to have to start all over again with the backups. Because there would be no point to even use this program if these issues occur.
Someone please help, and soonish....my job is on the line! (nothing different for an I.T Administrator hey guys....)
Thank you.
