Restoring From Older Backups

I have just realised that I have incorrectly overwritten some data to an Excel spreadsheet.  I want to restore from the last good version I had prior to the error, but cannot see that backup is available.  I thought that N360 had the ability to restore from all backups and that it did not just overwrite with the latest version.

If that is the case could someone suggest where I might find these older versions.

I am backing up to a local external hard drive.

lanC,

Unfortunatly Norton 360 Backup does not yet support file versioning we only backup the latest copy of the file. If the file in the restore has been overwritten the data is gone. Did you try to restore what we last backed up only to find out it was overwritten?

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Mike.

Yes the data has definitely gone I'm afraid.  I guess I would right in thinking that even if I do a full backup, as soon as the file is changed again the backup will overwrite whatever is in that backup as well?

Do you know if there is any Norton product that does file versioning?

lanC,

This is something we are looking into currently for future years. We hope to have a solution at some point in the future. However Norton Ghost supports file versioning.
