I am pissed and in this mess too. I used the tool and rmoved NIS 2009 and then installed the latest version from the website. So far no problemo...Except it says I now have a 15 day trial version and won't accept my product key (I have a Costco retail version.). Although it was pricey for multiple machines, Kaspersky (which I used last year without incident or any noticeable slowdown) is looking pretty good.
