Rev down to NIS2011 from NIS 2012 - the right way?

While I wait for guidance to this thread, http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Please-help-high-util-by-ccsvchst-exe/td-p/648487, I was wondering what is the 'right' way to:

  1. uninstall NIS2012;
  2. install NIS2011;

without running into problems with licenses, etc. FWIW I initially purchased NIS2011 retail package & used NIS2011 until NIS2012 became available at which time I upgraded over Internet. I have a 1 user/3 PC license.

This utilization by ccsvchst.exe is slowing me down & although it's a last ditch kind of thing to try (since NIS 2012 was running okay until earlier this week), I was wondering NIS2011 might've been a better fit for my old laptop running Vista Biz 32bit.

This thread or the aforementioned thread - any or all suggestions are appreciated to at least get back to normalcy.

Thank you!
