Right now the program is available in US, Canada and the UK.
We are launching to Singapore, Australia and NZ in July.
Other launguages/countries planned are Germany and France by Dec 2008
Are we able to register from other countries?
At this time the program site is only in English so when the registration is fixed you will just have to choose one of the 3 listed and shen we add more countries we will alert all members. There is a link to this forum from the site as well
That's ok.
But for now I can't register at all
ok - apologies again I thought the problem had been solved before I posted again.
I will revise the posting - if people are interested and can send their email , tenure as a Norton customers to namembers@symantec.com I will make sure everyone gets access.
Thanx

I've no idea how long -- when was Norton Desktop for Windows released? Seriously!
Wow you are old

Tell me something I don't know <g>
We are both older than that <g> I should have googled -- it goes back to Windows 3x:
PERSONAL COMPUTERS; Norton Desktop for Windows
THERE is a temptation, when describing Microsoft Windows 3.0, to compare it with Apple Computer Inc.'s Macintosh system software. The comparison belittles the Macintosh, which is easier to understand and use and which has a more consistent system of point-and-click commands and operations.
However, Norton Desktop for Windows, a utility program from the Symantec Corporation, takes Windows several steps closer to being easy to use. Experienced Windows users will see immediate benefits, but first-time Windows users will have to take it on faith that Norton will eventually make more sense than plain Windows.

Haha
NDW 3.0 was released in '93 so the original was probably around '90.
......those were good times... we spoke together.....without internet, chat and so on.....nice times
Cheerio
Lars
Well I moved back to the USA in 1994 and I had it back in the UK so I’d say I must have come in at the beginning …
Not to threadjack, but I used NDW 3.0 for Windows 3.1 and loved it. That was a few years before I started working here. I wish we had it for XP/Vista.
Closest I've found is PowerDesk which I'm back to using now the context menu thingy is sorted out.
I was using an Australian similar utility Opus9 but it was overkill and believe it or not when you clicked on a column header to sort by the arrowhead was upside down compared with our standards .... Aussies ..... <g>
wow and that’s even not that long ago
