Ridiculous

I got an email today 12/31 that says-- Norton Family Client on *******-PC used by kids has been disabled. Therefore, Norton™ Family cannot monitor the Internet activities of your children. Go to your child's computer and restart Norton Family Client.

Twenty minutes later I get this email--The Norton Family browser plug-in was unexpectedly turned off on *******-PC . This plug-in will be re-enabled automatically in five minutes. If it does not restart automatically, restart the browser or computer. The following features require the plug-in:

  • Safe Searching
  • Social network monitoring
  • Video monitoring (Premier Members)

Now mind you I haven't gotten an email from Norton about the account since November and no matter what I did in the master account I couldn't get it to work.

Anyways after I get the email I go to the master account and find that my kids haven't been being monitored for over 3 days!

The last alert that shows in the account is from 12/28 about my son disabling the program (another thread that I still don't have an answer on)---Nothing in there whatsoever about todays alerts.

And the kicker is it's still saying it's monitoring the kids account but there's not one thing listed in there since the 28th--No web, no search, no social (though this section has never once worked on my account)

When I click on CHILDREN these are the Alerts I have:

12/28/12 9:20 PM : Norton Family's web browser monitoring component is either disconnected or disabled.
Please restart the web browser or restart your computer. [*******-PC]

12/28/12 11:59 AM : A user has tried to turn off the Norton Family by providing an incorrect administrator password five times.
(This one was me trying to figure out how he's circumventing the program)
