I have lost my right-click functionality in Windows Explorer and PowerDesk Pro 7, and cannot access the context menu.  Each time I try, Windows Explorer crashes.  I downloaded the patch, which I am told will fix the conflict between Norton 360 and PowerDesk Pro; but I cannot run the patch.  My OS is Vista Home Premium.  In order to run the patch I must do so as the Administrator, and to run it as the Administrator I must right click the patch to access the context menu, which in turn contains the option of running the file as administrator.  The problem is that I don’t have right-click functionality so I can fix my lack of right-click functionality.  Anyone out there have a solution?  Is there a way to run the patch as Administrator without resort to the right-click context menu?

Thank you!!!  By simply renaming the Powerdesk Menu key zPowerdesk menu (and rebooting) I apparently solved the problem.

I've been where you are ....

However because I had the problem before the fix, I removed PowerDesk 7 and used an alternative.

Then Norton produced a workaround that I did and reinstalled PD7 and it was OK for RMC. See this message (and scn the whole thread for the background) and then read on down for note of the PD Fix which I was able to apply because of the workaround:

Then when I had patched, I renamed it back by taking out the "z" although that may not be necessary.

In case you ever need it I think if you boot into SAFE mode then the real top Administrator appears on the log-in screen.
