Rootkit help

I have been actively looking for help via several different web sites to find out more information on a rootkit problem I am currently suffering from. Using a program that another site referred me to, G Data TotalCare 2010, I have discovered that my computer has two Rootkits embedded in it somewhere and I have no way of getting them out that I am currently aware of. Trojan.Generic.2365888 and Win32:Alureon-CX [Rtk] are the two viruses that I am duking it out with right now. Between the two, there are roughly 8 files that I can not seem to get rid of. Having read the previous posts and doing what I can to correct the problem on my own, I may have made a bigger hole than I can get myself out of. When I tried to use MBAM, the program would quit without any warning everytime I tried to execute a scan. I tried to turn off my firewalls in G Data and then tried again, but the same thing happened. I had tried to use the SysProt as described in other threads on this site I was gifted with a rather extensive text. I have downloaded the Avenger to make things a bit easier for the forseeable long list of text that will likely be required for input. I have uninstalled MBAM for now, but I retained the installer with the hope that it might be usefull to me in the future. I have had the foresight to backup all the pertinent information that I wish to keep for the future and I am prepared to reformat if need be, but I still hope that that is not the case. Please let me know if there is anyother information I can provide that might make this event... less eventful.

Thank you for your valuable time, for it is a comodity that can not be replaced.
