Can anyone tell me how to run LiveUpdate in Norton Mobile Security after 3.12.0.3014 update on Android 5.1?
Also the old Activity Log, Help, and About seem to be missing.
Any help appreciated.

Hi infosecurity,
Welcome to the Norton Community. What Norton product do you have and the exact version from Help > About? What OS and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?
If you have NIS, please check in Computer Settings and scroll down to the bottom and let us know if Live Update and Pulse Updates are both ON.
Also to the right of where you run Live Update, it will tell you how long ago since it last ran.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
Allen
Hi infosecurity,
This is not unusual. In addition to virus signatures, updates are released continually for many varied program components including AntiSpam, Antiphishing, the NIS 2011 Activity Map and others. LiveUpdate checks for updates every hour but it often finds new updates available when run manually. If you are using NIS 2011 you can check the LiveUpdate log in Norton History to see exactly what updates have been received.
I find the same thing on my laptop. If it goes to sleep, no updates are run until it wakes up. I know how it feels.
LiveUpdate has been running sporadically from every 5 to 10 minutes up to every hour. I have been noticing on many occasions updates found manually after minutes of auto update. In fact, one minute later I manually found five updates, which does not seem right.
The Automatic Live Update only finds the updates if it's run in idle. The 5-10 minutes thing is the Pulse Updates, and those do not pick up anything else.
Hello infosecurity
The pulse updates that occur every few minutes pick up antivirus definition changes, so if you run live update, it is possible to pick up other sorts of updates as well as definition updates.
If I may ask here, is it ok to manually hit "run live update" in NIS 2010? I mean periodically? Or does that mess with the rhythm of the program?
You can run LiveUpdate as often as you like.
is there a reason why liveupdate just downloaded 78.2 MB worth of updates?? anyone else get these two huge updates?
