I'm quite happy with the NU portion of SystemWorks 2003, which I have run together with NAV 2010 and now run with NAV 2011. However, every time NAV is upgraded, or reinstalled, I first have to: 1. Uninstall SW 2003; 2. Install/upgrade NAV; 3. And, finally, reinstall SW 2003 (without the NAV part). No big deal .. but a nuisance.
I have been told that SW 2003 is not compatible with newer NAV packages. Why? Not sure, but I suspect that Symantec wants it off the market as it doesn't require a product key. Question: is there a simple way to adapt SW 2003 to live in harmony with NAV, and/or to remove/modify some SW files to make it possible NOT to have to do this un-/re-install every time?
And, no, I'm not interested in newer NU packages. What I have seen doesn't impress me, and, besides, I prefer SpeedDisk over XP's defrag. The tech-level and performance of SW/NU 2003 is just fine...
