Safe Search "Whats New" pop Up

Forgive me if I've broken any Forum Rules by starting a Topic of which I participated in a previuos post. But the previous one went in a different direction.

So, Since the V6 upgrade, I keep getting a Pop Up right under the Safe Search Box, which is telling me of the new things in Safe Search. It has a link to "Learn More" and a Try Now Button.

It comes up consistently. Even when Logging into this site.

I Know what Safe Search Is. yes it dissapears just by clicking anywhere on the web Page, But It should not keep popping up.

I have scanned all the settings and find no where to disable it. Other that disabling the Norton Tool bar, which aslo removes the ID Safe Button, I cant stop it.

I cannot believe I am the only one getting it , so must assume everyone is either ignoring it , or has found how to stop it.

I tried the "Try Now" even though I already had the Safe Search on my toolbar. It didn't make any difference. I still get the I*&* annoying popup.

I ended up disabling Safe Search altogether which gets rid of the pop-up but we shouldn't have to do that.  Safe search worked fine on 2011 and never came up with that pop-up.  I used the "try it now" button and it kept doing it.  Yes, you can click on the webpage and it will go away but like others said, it's annoying (up there with the dialog box open error with Word 2007 documents).

Yes, I am getting it too.  I don't expect this kind of crap when I am paying for software.  I'd like to get a credit from Norton for the software I renewed.  Or maybe I will charge those idots for everytime this pop-up hits my screen.

Same issue here - but with Norton IIS.  Just did the update (pushed out, of course) and even though I have the toolbar and safe search enabled from the previous installation, about every 3rd time I open Firefox 11, I get the **bleep** NAG screen. 

C'mon guys!

Sorry for the issue you are facing. We are tracking this issue with a defect for both(NIS and N360)

Hi All,

 

After Receiving Product Update for Norton 360 v6.1.2.10/ NIS 19.6.2.10. You will no longer see TryNow popup for Norton Safesearch from NortonToolbar. This issue has been fixed in this update.
