Safe SMS installed on iPhone but not shown as active on the app menu

Issue abstract: Safe SMS not shown as active on menu

Detailed description:The Safe SMS feature is installed and passes the test, i.e. the Messenger “filter” page shoes the “Filtered by Norton 360”. However the app’s Menu does not show is as active.

Product & version number:Norton 360 Deluxe 2.120.0.20250820.1639

OS details:IOS 18.6.2 (22G100)

Interesting find. I never really paid attention to that indication.

I’ll escalate this question to see if this is by design, or if there is a problem with the protection.

I have heard from my contact and the reason that there is no check mark beside Safe SMS has to do with the way Apple has locked down the OS and there is currently no way for Norton to access what would be necessary to ensure the feature is running and give it a check mark.

A future update MAY have a work around for this.
