SAFE WEB and CLOUD BACKUP

Issue abstract: LOADED by Norton without notification to me (along with a totally new APP interface) a new SAFE WEB was turned on and has been blocking my access to my medical provider records for 2 weeks till I figured out was was happening!

In addition - suddenly discovered BACKUPs have been going to the ‘Cloud’ without advising me (and I can’t turn it off!) along with Local backups using my previous Backup folders. I can turn that off, but can’t define how often they will run. This is so insane.

If your Norton is not working as expected and you’ve tried Troubleshooting → Reset to Default &or Repair Norton & clean re-install Norton 360…then…reach out to Norton support.
Note: Reset to Default resets Cloud Backup

Regarding turning off Cloud Backup. Did you try turning off Automatically sync?

I greatly appreciate your help with this & will dig deeper into the new interface ‘options’. But now that I discovered how to fix my inability to login to my medical provider Web site via Chrome (by turning off a couple SAFE WEB settings) my biggest frustration has been having to spend a fair amount of time figuring out exactly what has changed and the ‘default’ settings with this new interface that were implemented without any prior notice whatsoever. This is not the way to implement major changes.
