My web site is showing a gray untested button in Google searches and I am trying to have my site tested but I cannot get Norton Safe Web to verify ownership of my web site and begin the testing process. The whole process has been difficult and frustrating for me but I think I've done everything as the Safe Web site or the email directed.
I've tried both entering the meta tag into my home page and also uploading the html page with the code. I downloaded the html page from the safe web site instead of using the code from the email. I used the code from the email for the meta tag entry and added it to my index page. Each time I try to verify I get the popup telling me to add the html page or the meta tag.
