Safety Minder for Mac

My child has a MacBook (Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.13 GHz, Mac OS X 10.5.8).  The MacBook is a school issued machine. The school IT department has been trying to get Safety Minder installed on my child's machine, but has informed me that while they "have been talking Norton to get the monitoring software to work effectively... they are unable to make it work".

 

I unfortunately do not have admin access to the machine to work this myself.  However, I was hoping to learn from this group whether there are any known issues with installing Safety Minder on a MacBook and if so, I'd like to help guide the school IT department in getting this resolved.

 

Any insights/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi dwolf.

 

There are no known issues with NSM-Mac and a MacBook (I use one myself).  I'd like to know a little more about the issues.  Would it be possible to have the IT rep contact me directly at alan_gilbert@symantec.com?  I am the NSM-Mac developer.
