Hello,
We run a free online marketplace. The site URL is http://www.ecrater.com and we have more than 200,000 merchants selling on it
On Apr 26th we were notified by some of our users that Norton displays warning "caution" for our website. After looking into the issue we found that it is caused by a merchant who we suspended for selling counterfeit items. To avoid further confusion we completely removed the user's account. We submitted a request for re-evaluation and the warning was removed and the status was changed to gray "untested".
On May 10th we noticed that Norton started to display again this warning for the same reason and for the same URLs. This was a surpise for us because these URLs did not exist. They were removed them after we closed the merchant's account on Apr 26th. So we submitted another request for re-evaluation and the status was changed again to gray "untested" shortly after that.
Today our users brought to our attention that Norton has started to display again this warning.
We have zero tolerance towards counterfeit products and close these accounts promptly. eCRATER has been covered by sources like CNN, CNN Money, Business Week, Smart Money, Fortunate Small Business and Marketwatch.
Some of the eCRATER merchants uninstalled Norton as a quick workaround but we think that the best way to hanle the problem is to let Norton know about it.
Do you have any ideas how we can resolve the issue.
Thanks you.
