OS is XP home. Problems started when main hard drive failed. HD replaced with new SATA 500gb, two partitions created one for OS other for data, Windows reloaded. The failed HD had same setup. When running S & R I can see the recovery point files on the backup HD but cannot open them in explore recovery points nor can I restore the data drive. When attempting to restore the drive it looks as if it is starting to recover but it does not get beyond about 2 minutes when two errors messages appear. One a popup which says' Cannot complete restore with multiple volumes. The other says 'Memory locked' error8002000d. Checking the log shows error EC8F042B.
It is likely that I have missed something obvious, any advice welcome.
