Save & Restore 2.0 - View Only Incremental Contents

Hello,

I would like to see what files are being saved within each "disk save" incremenatal backup.   When I look at an increamental through Manage Backup Destination I am seeing all of the files saved since the base backup which does't tell me which files were saved only in this increment.  Knowing this would be helpful in managing my disk utilization.

Is there a way to view these files.

Thanks,

Ron

Thank you for your reply Erik. I didn't realize the mechanism of the Backup is sector based, but that makes a lot of sense for efficiency.  I was looking for a way to analyze what had changed on my PC that would contribute to a big jump in an incremental full disk backup. But, I guess I can do that with Windows Search.

Launching Windows Defrag and only running an analysis might be a better technique.  Compare the sector maps.  Keep in mind, that if you have a bad shutdown or a hard shutdown can cause the bitmap we use to track to not be updated.  When that happens, we have to reconcile changes and it can lead to a larger incremental or forcing a new base to be created.
