I successfully reinstalled a retail copy of Save & Restore from disk that I originally installed on 5.24.06 and subsequently uninstalled on 7.27.06, using the Norton uninstall tool. I ran Live update successfully and tried to run the program, receiving the error message "You have 0 days remaining in trial period. Would you like to activate now ?", to which I replied 'YES'. I received a message that activation was successful and posted the product key that I had entered. After re starting my computer, whenever I try to start any modules in S&R, I get an error message "Trial version has expired. To continue system protection visit our web site."
This is not a downloaded trial version. [S/N {removed} Version: 11.02, Build 20309.] I have previously had Norton Works which I uninstalled on 8.1.07, using the uninstall tool. Could my problem be a result of my expired subscription to Norton AV, a component of Works? I also received a script error message during the install, which I allowed. I would appreciate any help anyone can provide as I would like to use S&R in conjunction with a recently acquired Maxtor III external hard drive.

OK, I give up. I have removed S&R from my computer and will not purchase anymore Symantic products. None of their products seems to work ‘out of the box’. Navigating the support web pages is a nightmare and not worth the trouble.My last hope was this forum.
