Thanks for the advice Erik.  But is there any way other than an uninstall/reinstall to get NSR back on the list?

Unfortunately no.  The inventory is in an encrypted file and there is no command that you can perform to re-register NSR.  The install process on a reinstall would re-register it.

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled NSR and it fixed the liveupdate problem.  I did a liveupdate and it installed the recent NSR major program update.  I was even able to save my scheduled backups and settings during the reinstall.  Thank you Erik for taking the time to offer advice.  I really appreciate it...

I use both NIS 2008 and Save & Restore 2.  I recently updated NIS to version 15.5 however my question concerns manual liveupdate.  When I run manual liveupdate from either NIS or Save & Restore, I get a list of installed Norton products on my computer.  Save & Restore is not in the list.  I recall that it was in the list prior to updating NIS to version 15.5 but I could be wrong.  My question is “Should Save & Restore be in the list of products presented in the liveupdate dialog box?”  Thanks!

It sounds like the inventory for LiveUpdate no longer has Norton Save & Restore (NSR).  You could uninstall and reinstall NSR to get it back into the list.
