Kudos to Norton.
I recently received an email indicating that I was receiving a receipt for a purchase from Apple Store. The email suggested that if I had received the email in error, that I should click the "Cancel Box" within the body of the email. Of course, I did; as I had not ordered the $100 item mentioned in the receipt. I immediately got a Norton Warning Page - strongly suggesting that I not continue to the page.
I promptly contacted the Apple Store to check on the proposed purchase. They confirmed that a scam of that type was indeed out there.
I also checked my online checking statement to see if such a charge had hit it, as pending. Fortunately it had not.
If I had forced the connection to the page and confirmed my ID and password, as it was asking; I would have been in deep trouble.
