ScalixPro using possible predatory marketing practices against the elderly

I just wanted to alert the community of what may be either a ransom-ware attack or at the very least predatory marketing practices against the elderly.  My 81 y/o mother's computer froze on 1/4/2017.  The only icon that would work was a "help" icon.  My mother clicked the icon and she was contacted verbally via her computer by someone stating they were from ScalixPro.  They stated her Windows 10 did not support her Symantec Norton product and for $1499.99 she could have the problem fixed and get "life-time protection."   She wanted to pay via credit card but was told she could only pay with an electronic funds transfer.   She was assured she could get a full refund within two-weeks.   The ScalixPro web site states the same.   I requested in writing a refund on 1/8/2017 and my mother contacted them over the phone for a full refund as well.   She was assured she would get a full refund and I received and email on 1/18/2017 stating she would get a refund; however, the email was very short on details and was poorly written.   In short, I feel my mother was scammed.    I want to alert the community of this practice.  If ScalixPro is a legitimate company I suggest they take action as well.
