"Scan Cancelled there are no items to scan"

I have set up automatic scans. Since I renewed, after the scan I get a screen that says that the scan was canecelled there are no items to scan. Something is not right as there are plenty of items to scan! Something is not connecting right and apparently the Noton Anti virus is not working at all. How can I fix this please?

Thanks/Bob in Houston

Yaso,

Thanks, I have deleted the old scheduled task per your instructions. I guess I won't

know if it worked until the next time the auto scan takes place in a week.

If it works then I will let you know.

I guess that the scheduled task is only set in the Norton page.

Please post back to tell me if it worked - thanks  If you discovered a leftover scan schedule from your previous NIS version and deleted it, then it should work. I experienced the same issue myself after upgrading to the latest version of NIS.

Moved to own thread for better exposure.

Hi Bob,

Did it work? :smileywink:

Hi

I wondering if your recommendation doesn't work, if this could be a symptom of a rootkit. I know that used to be a symptom with some of the older rootkits.

Yes, sir - It did work. Thanks very much.
