Issue abstract: Scan for viruses context menu on Finder not shown when connected to external devices

Detailed description: I have noticed that when I open Finder, I can see Norton->Scan for viruses context menu for files and folders. But when I connect my external SSDs and open it and right click any files or folders, it won’t be present. We have to open Norton and choose the folder or file to scan from the Norton’s UI. Please fix this issue.

Product & version number: 24.11.0

OS details: macOS 15.2 on M2 Max MBP

@shellcoder I’m a Windows user so this may not be relevant to you but I found that the only way to get the scan results when you selectively scan files and folders is to check N360’s Security History and click on the scan to see the results. It’s annoying for sure.

@shellcoder Oops. Look like I misread your question. I now tried scans on a folder and a file on one of my thumbdrives. The right click scan works but there’s nothing to indicate that they were scanned other than to look in Security History, which showed they were indeed scanned. I would hope N360 would notify on the desktop if it found malware but that’s just an assumption. The only thing I haven’t experimented with is the settings for notifications. I have mine set to mute informational notifications. Maybe that has to be unmuted for the scan results to show up on the screen. Just a thought.
