I have two desktops each with multiple physical hard drives both internal and external and the hard drives are partitioned into several logical drives (I multi boot to at least 3 different OS's on each plus have a logical drive to hold images ....)
So when I go to Scan Now / Custom Scan / Drive I'm faced with a prechecked list of all my drives including any thumbdrives or other removable drives like the CD and DVD drives even when empty.
If all I want to Custom Scan is one drive -- say my XP OS drive and not the VISTA or WIN 7 and other drives -- I have to manually uncheck all the other check boxes since they are all prechecked.
Many applications that I have that offer multiple lists like this -- eg Irfanview on which plug-ins to install -- have a Select All / Deselect All link and if Norton had this I could click on Deselect All and then just select Drive C ....
When you have 12 drives showing it would remove an unnecessary irritation.
At least Folder Scan comes up with everything deselected .....
