If you are using Norton 360 2.0 you should be able to open microsoft explorer and right click on the external hard drive to get the option to scan trough it.
If you are using the earlier version. It might be quite impossible.

I wanna scan my portable Maxtor external hard drive (OneTouch Mini 4) with Norton 360’s virus scanner. How can I tell the scanner to scan THIS drive instead of the main hard drive (C:)?
