What is the best way to check for viruses some files received by email as an attachment? Can I scan the files with Norton before opening them? I have a Norton 360 deluxe installed in an android tablet. Many thanks
Using an Android device will not be able to check for any Windows based malware. I answered your other thread here on how to check attachments in emails.
If you did open an attachment with malware, the other layers of protection in Norton 360 would kick in to detect and remove the malware.
You can save the attachment to a temporary location on you system and then with Windows Explorer, right click on the file and click on Norton 360 > Scan Now.
